This is an HSE approved course and must be carried out by an approved instructor.

 

Length of Course: It is 18 contact hours and conducted over a minimum of 3 days (although can be longer as long as each lesson at least 2 hours contact time).

 

Certificate is valid for 3 years  

 

Requalification requires 2 day attendance as long as your certificate is still in date. You will be assessed on completion of the course by 1 or 2 assessors (not the instructor).

 

This course must be taught 100% in classroom and not online. The HSE recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher course.
